San Polo — the Allegrini family's celebrated Tuscany estate near di Montalcino — ferments Sangiovese entirely in terracotta amphorae with no added sulphites, no fining, and no filtration, producing a wine of rare purity and primal energy. Scoring 94 points from James Suckling and 92 from Wine Enthusiast, it opens with wild cherry, dried rose, and earthy spice - admired for its raw, terroir-driven intensity.
The palate is taut and vivid - crunchy red fruit, iron minerality, silky tannins, and a long, saline, stony finish.
