Stellenrust Wild Yeast Barrel Fermented Chardonnay 2021 is 100% Chardonnay from high-altitude Bottelary Hills vineyards, South Africa, fermented with indigenous yeasts in French barrels (30% new) over up to three months, then aged 12 months on gross lees. This wine is for drinkers seeking rich, textured Chardonnay with citrus depth, nutty complexity and a mineral finish.
Ripe citrus and toasted almond lead the nose, with concentrated nectarine, peach and butterscotch on the palate, framed by well-judged oak and zesty acidity.
