Cantillon Kriek is a spontaneously fermented lambic blended with organic sour cherries, macerated in oak or chestnut barrels for two to three months before a second fermentation with younger lambic drives natural carbonation in the bottle.
Ruby red with a foamy pink-red head, it delivers a spicy, acidic red-fruit character with a subtle almond finish. Best enjoyed young for maximum fruit intensity, though extended aging shifts the balance toward funkier lambic character over fresh cherry.
