From a historic Puligny family estate, Jean Chartron has crafted benchmark white burgundy for more than a century. The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Pucelle Monopole 2022 earned 95 points from Decanter, and this Jean Chartron 1er Cru is vinified with full barrel fermentation, 12 months on fine lees, and a further period in tank to build creamy depth without losing its mineral precision.
Layered and elegant, this puligny-Montrachet opens with ripe pear, yellow flowers, hazelnut, and a whisper of smoke. The palate is richly textured yet poised, carrying refined oak, saline lift, and a long, polished finish that makes this monopole a compelling choice for collectors of serious white burgundy.
