New Zealand’s Valli Waitaki Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022 is wild-fermented with 5% whole bunch, then aged 11 months in French oak. Wild strawberry, pomegranate, thyme and gunflint lead to cardamom, tart cherry and damson plum. Fine, chalky tannins and vivid salinity extend the graceful finish. Cameron Douglas MS calls it “outstanding,” while Wine Advocate highlights its fragrance and detail.
