Broad on entry but focused through the finish, Vincent Girardin Puligny-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes 2023 combines concentrated fruit with fresh acidity. Citrus, pear and green apple mingle with white flowers and flint, while discreet oak sits behind the fruit. Lemon and a saline edge carry the long finish.
This Burgundy Chardonnay draws on vines around 40 years old across parcels including Les Tremblots, Les Houillères and Les Nosroyes. It spends 14 months on fine lees without stirring, leaving the yeast sediment undisturbed during maturation.
