Philippe Chavy crafts his Puligny-Montrachet premier cru with biodynamic farming, natural yeasts, and ageing in large 500–600 litre oak barrels to let terroir speak above all else. Les Folatières Au Chaniot sits at the coveted southern tip of Folatières bordering Caillerets — where MW Clive Coates declares it "the most complete Folatières" — steep east-facing slopes of clay and limestone at 250–300 metres elevation, producing wines of mineral precision and remarkable tension.
Glowing pale gold, Les Folatières Au Chaniot 2022 opens with acacia blossom, fresh hazelnut, caramelised lemon, and ripe pear — powerful yet elegantly structured on the palate, vibrant acidity driving a long, chiselled finish of breathtaking mineral precision and depth.
